What To Know

Studio Policies

Tuition

Tuition is auto drafted and is debited on the 1st of every month.  A valid Credit card or bank EFT must be on file at time of registration. We do not send statements but all charges to your account may be viewed at any time via your parent portal.  Subsequently, there will be a $20 charge for non-sufficient funds or your credit card not being up to date. There will be a $25 late fee assessed on the 5th of the month for any outstanding balances. You are responsible to update the office with updated account information.  Your account must be current in order for the student to participate in classes, performances, conventions and competitions.  As is the standard practice for dance studios (and schools in general that charge monthly tuition), our monthly tuition is based on the total number of classes offered during the entire school year, therefore it is a uniform amount each month. This includes but is not limited to: Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, and Recital Picture week. We do not typically offer make up classes for holidays but do for absences or vacations.

Registration

To register, simply log in or create a new account in our Student Portal. Here you will choose your desired class/classes and sign the Core Dance Alliance Policies. There is a non-refundable annual registration fee of $60 through July 15, $80 July 15- August 31 and $95 thereafter through the end of the season.  This non-refundable fee is assessed each year when registering for classes and covers studio expenses related to the Fall/Spring session for which you are registering.

Class Withdrawal/Changes

If a student needs to withdraw from a class, a 30-day notice must be emailed to registration@coredancealliance.com prior to the 1st of the following month. If the notice is not given 30 days prior to the 1st, tuition will continue to accumulate until the withdrawal email has been sent. The account will be drafted and there will be no refunds granted. If a student has to drop or switch a class, please notify the front desk. There will be no refunds given for classes unattended. This applies to dropping some but not all classes so if, for example, you are enrolled in ballet and tap and wish to drop tap, a 30 day notice must be given and tuition will be charged up to the 30 days after notice is given (ex: notice given Sept. 10th and Sept. tuition has already been paid, pro-rated tuition for Oct. 1-10th will be charged for tap on Oct. 1st).

Attendance

Attendance plays a vital part in how well you or your child will progress in dancing.  As a child it can be frustrating to fall behind and frustrating to the rest of their classmates if there are excessive absences.  Please make every effort to be in class and to notify the studio by telephone or email if a student must miss a class. You may arrange a make-up class at that time; make-ups should be made within two weeks of the missed class. There is no credit given for absences.

Dress Attire

Please refer to our dress code for requirements for each of your dancer’s classes as all dancers are asked to adhere to this dress code. No jewelry is to be worn for safety reasons and we will not be responsible for damage or loss.   Please label all of your dance items with child’s name.

Arriving/Departing

Students should arrive at least 5 minutes early for their class and be ready to enter the studio (shoes on, hair secured, restroom visit completed).  While on studio premises, students and siblings should conduct themselves in an orderly fashion.  Please be courteous to fellow parents in the waiting area and if you have other children please keep them seated.  Dancers may use the dancer lounge when not in class to the alleviate overcrowding in the waiting area.  Students are to remain inside the waiting area until picked up by a parent. If you are running late to pick up your dancer, please notify the front desk.  For the safety and well-being of all our students, we kindly ask that parents pick up their children promptly within 10 mins of their last class ending. This ensures that everyone can enjoy a timely and hassle-free departure. After 10 mins, a $1 fee will be applied for every min they are not picked up. If they are in a class the end of the night they must be picked up immediately after class ending or a $1 per minute fee commences after 5 minutes.

Annual Spring Recital

Our Recital will be held in June and detailed information will be available in Nov/Dec. Costume fees are due on and will be charged on October 15th and recital fees are due and charged on November 15th.  All Core Dance Alliance students are to perform in the annual Recital.  If you register after November 15th and would like to participate in Recital, the full amount must be paid, and participation is contingent on securing a costume for your dancer.  Please check with the front desk for details.
